Imagine in a workplace you are trying to visit thegeekyshiva.com website and it does not work.You reach out to your IT team who in turn asks you questions such as:-

1.What is your IP ?

2.Can you resolve the URL and let us know the IP for that URL ? 

If you have not done or know these things than just follow below steps.

Goto Start or press Windows+R tab on your keyboard and type CMD .A black Screen will pop up and open up.Type ipconfig/all and you will see something like below:-

Your IP address would be the first line which is “IPv4 Address” ….192.168.1.4 (could be different on your machine)

Now for the IP address of the website lets say website is thegeekyshiva.com than on CMD type nslookup thegeekyshiva.com as below :-

So the ip address for the website are 104.24.101.210 and 104.24.100.210 .
